Jessica Lazar

(Director) Jess is a creator. She works across mediums, including live theater, film, and digital content. Currently, she is focused on messages that make the world, and the people in it, more empathetic. She directed Episode 2 and the Joyfully Jolly Jamboree of the live theatrical touring performances of The Joshua Show. As Executive Producer at VideoOut Entertainment, a production company committed to equity in the filmmaking space, she creates media that centers on the voices of underrepresented communities and helps create a platform for marginalized folks to share their untold stories. Previously, she worked for Group Nine Media launching the editorial video team for Thrillist’s subdivision, Supercall. Jess is based in Brooklyn, but her hope is that her work transcends geography to bring people together in a time when common ground is more and more elusive. jesslazar.com
